George Cigale is President of Teach to One and is focused on expanding operations to reach many more students and educators. Previously, George founded Tutor.com and served as its CEO as it became the leading provider of individualized instructional solutions for students and professionals. Tutor.com was acquired by IAC/InteractiveCorp (NASD:IAC) in 2013.

Since then, George has served as an advisor, mentor, and investor to dozens of education and software companies and organizations.  George serves as a Trustee on the Board of Columbia University Teachers College, on the Board of The Wild Center, and as an Advisor to John Hopkins Medicine Institute of Basic Biomedical Sciences. George received a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and currently lives in New York City and Long Lake, NY.

When not thinking about education technology and how we learn, George learns as much as he can about the intersection of fungi, microbiomes, nutrition, evolution, and health and wellness, and spends time in the Adirondack woods foraging for mushrooms and climbing the high peaks.
